Do people value national parks and terrestrial areas that are protected the same way as marine protected areas?
I believe that people do value marine parks. They provide a safe home for native plants and animals and keep the air and water clean. They also help us to learn about the environment and give tourists places to enjoy the natural and virtually unharmed environment.
What ecological and human factors should be considered when establishing a marine protected area?
Marine protected areas restrict human activity for a conservation purposes, therefore are implemented where natural resources are being threatened directly and indirectly. Both the human and environmental characteristics of the area are considered when establishing these areas.
Are MPA the only way to protect natural and cultural resources of an area? Alternatives?
Haratage Parks and Wildlife reserves are also good ways to protect natural and cultural resources, however Marine Protected areas are argubly the most effecive.
